We run "Kyoto R Real Estate" as a branch of the R Real Estate Group, which offers properties suited to each location across 10 regions nationwide. We specialize in introducing Kyoto’s traditional houses (Kyo-machiya), Western-style homes, and other character-rich pre-owned properties.
In addition to real estate services, 51Action also undertakes renovation projects. We reimagine character-rich but outdated homes and unused vacant properties, transforming them with a modern touch to unlock new ways of living and using these spaces.
51Action operates a hotel transformed from a nearly 50-year-old apartment building. The entire operation is managed by a team with experience in international hotel management.

Born in Kyoto in 1982,
Takayuki Minaguchi graduated from Doshisha University before working in sales and partnerships at an advertising agency and DeNA Co., Ltd. Inspired by his grandfather’s centuries-old thatched-roof farmhouse, he founded 51Action in 2016 with a vision to connect people to unique, character-filled properties. In 2017, he opened Kyoto R-Real Estate, bringing this vision to life.
